HARTFORD, S.D. – Beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, the westbound Interstate 90 on-ramp at Hartford (exit 387) will be temporarily closed. The temporary on-ramp closure is required to allow crews to safely complete a bridge deck pour over I-90.
Concrete trucks will need direct access in and out of the work zone during this bridge deck pour operation. The on-ramp will be reopened as soon as the deck pour is complete. The on-ramp is anticipated to reopen by 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025.
During the temporary on-ramp closure, traffic will be routed to the I-90 eastbound on-ramp exit at 387 and travel three miles east. Motorists can then use the westbound on-ramp at exit 390 to travel westbound on I-90. Drivers are encouraged to allow for extra travel time and use alternate routes if possible.
The prime contractor for this $12.6 million project is D & G Concrete Construction Inc. of Sioux Falls, S.D. The overall project completion date is June 2026.
